IAYM 2010 - Ready for Launch

The second edition of IAYM is due to start on June 1, 2010. We are currently finalizing the list of selected students - a heavy task since there were over 1500 applications for about 60 seats! The selections will be announced by 5 pm Monday, May 10.

  2. At this point all the selected participants have been contacted by phone/email. As vacancies come up, we similarly contact the waitlisted candidates.

  3. Sir,on what basis have the students been selected?

  4. Selection was on the basis of marks, teachers' recommendations, the short essay on why you wish to do the programme, any special achievements. Also, there was a set number of seats for outstation participants.

  9. I absolutely agree that we do not have a "right" strategy of choosing students. In fact MSF would be happiest if we did not reject anyone, whatever their earlier "performance", since anyone who desires to learn should not be judged or refused. But we have limited resources, and we are forced to choose. This is why we are apologetic - rather than proud - about rejecting students.

  11. Some waitlisted people have been accepted. If any more students drop out you may still get a chance. But if you really want to know you have to give us your reference number...
