One More Day to Apply

The deadline for submission of the online form has been extended by one day - to midnight, May 1. All other dates/deadlines are unchanged.

Richard Hamming

Richard Hamming (1915--98) was one of the great applied mathematicians. Many past student projects at MSF have used structures that he created. This quote by him seems appropriate for IAYM:

"In research, if you know what you are doing, then you shouldn't be doing it."

Important: The IAYM programme has been shortened by 3 days - It will now run from June 6 to 28.

IAYM 2011 Officially Up and Running

The IAYM 2011 summer programme has been launched. Visit the MSF website for all the details, application form, etc. The key dates are:

Duration: June 6 to July 1
Deadline for submitting online application form: Midnight, May 01
Deadline for receipt of recommendation letters: May 3
Announcement of selections: May 7

The major sponsor for this year's programme is the proposed Shiv Nadar University of the Shiv Nadar Foundation (www.shivnadarfoundation.org).
